2020…what can we say, a year that no one expected! From lockdowns, circuit breaks, local restrictions, furlough, social distancing and substantial meals to banana bread, Tiger King, TikTok and Zoom quizzes – it really was one for the books. Who would have thought that by December 2020 not wearing a face mask would make you stand out in public?

We thought we would look back on some lovely times from this year. We saw the launch of KBB Focus – Emma and Darren have done a fantastic job of creating this informative KBB industry hub. Our own Alison Relf featured on launch day speaking as a PR expert. Since then, BLANCO has featured throughout the website including an interview we arranged with Managing Director, Simon Hart.

Norbord held the popular, annual competition with RIBA. Obviously, the ceremony had to be held virtually but the same hard work was still put in by Norbord and our team from January right the way through to the “do”! The company then made a donation of SterlingOSB Zero to the Men’s Shed Association; and the year was topped off by the Carbon Negative announcement – see here.

KBB 2020 in March feels like 64 months ago but, nevertheless, it went ahead and we saw a really successful few days for both BLANCO and Königstone. We arranged media tours of both stands and also editor interviews throughout the three-day exhibition.

The Steel Window Association launched a new tiered membership initiative which answers specific demands from today’s market. The membership is now tiered into Gold, Silver and Bronze levels – read more about that here.

As well as numerous product launches, BLANCO sponsored another Kitchen Design student at Bucks University. The company has been sponsoring students since 2016 and we have supported them since then – from helping find the student through tailored content to reporting on how their first year went.

We would like to thank everyone we have worked with this year – clients, editors, journalists, advertising managers – the list goes on. The wheel wouldn’t turn without all of the components – we are very grateful and look forward to working with you all in 2021.

We hope you have a peaceful Christmas!

The Taylor Alden team.
