Well, we’re now into May – where did April go?! All of us in the Taylor Alden office feel like the month just disappeared from underneath us, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re busy in a job you love!
At the beginning of the month, we had a meeting with Fiona Russell-Horne, the editor of Builders’ Merchants Journal. We discussed several of our clients, including Abacus Bathrooms, BLANCO, Norbord, TeknosPro and tremco illbruck. The meeting led to articles being produced, visits to builders’ merchants being organised and new video ideas being developed – lots to keep us occupied and get our clients in front of target audiences.
We were also invited to Teknos’ Grand Opening of the new premises in Bicester. We were met with a drinks reception in the showroom and witnessed the cutting of the ribbon and plaque unveiling which officially opened the new site; we were given a tour of the offices and warehouse (which is huge so we racked up a lot of steps that day); and then we came home with a slice of the Teknos paint cake in our bags, and issued a press release on the event to our key media contacts.
Then, we ended the month with a few client PR meetings and calls. During these meetings, we exchanged new ideas, discussed potential case studies and developed the PR programmes going forward into quarter two. We’ve spent the past few days progressing this all and putting everything into motion for May. All in all, it’s been a great month for the team and we’re looking forward to what May brings (and not just because of the double Bank Holiday!)
