Here’s our thoughts on why it’s vital to maintain a company’s marketing message and presence – whatever the market conditions.

You’ve spent time and money building a presence in your market and you are a respected player, so consider the following to stay at the top of your game!

  1. Create a strong marketing plan focusing on your company’s objectives. Review the plan regularly to keep your marketing activity relevant and tweak it to respond to your business needs.
  2. Get to know your customers, learn how they want to be communicated with and how often, and what they read, watch and listen to.
  3. Promote your company’s products or services through tailored media releases. These should be posted on your website and shared on your social channels for extra exposure and impact.
  4. Work with your marketing agency to create thought-leadership articles. This will enhance your position as an expert in your field.
  5. Nominate someone in-house to be the voice of the company. This way a name and photograph can easily be put to any comment pieces.
  6. Ensure your social media channels are active and are portraying a positive company message. This can be done via an agency or in-house. Consider which channels are most relevant to your audience and what level of social media posting each audience would expect to see. Always make sure your social channels are monitored and comments and mentions of your company are promptly responded to.
  7. If your budget allows it, consider a print and/or digital advertising campaign. Even a small digital campaign with a leading industry media title will reinforce to your customers and competitors that you’re not going anywhere!

At Taylor Alden, we have many years’ experience in guiding clients through unexpected or challenging times – the COVID pandemic being one of the largest that affected many companies at the same time. We are there as your marketing partner to offer advice, amend any strategy in place to best reflect that particular time, secure comment pieces with media titles as well as your regular coverage and liaise with editors which reassures them all is fine. We pride ourselves on being flexible and adapting when we need to, but we will always keep our focus on keeping your brand awareness alive across the right marketing channels.
