Working in the communications world – which we all do I guess! – our job is to keep on top of the huge variety of ways in which we TALK.
When looking at our clients, suppliers, friends, we are seeing so many different preferences – not everyone uses everything!
The key is getting the mix right – and making sure you are reaching your key targets in the way THEY want to be talked to.
On the consumer side when we are writing and showing great images and videos of pretty kitchens and bathrooms, social media and digital marketing is strong. And we are also seeing a resurgence of beautiful brochures and direct marketing. The refrain from many customers is that the internet is just so huge, they don’t know where to look for a gold tap – there are millions!!!
And, on the b-to-b side, as long as you know the named, approved audience, we are seeing direct email marketing and all-in, quick-to-read newsletters (with projects, news and images, for example) becoming popular again. Indeed, we have three on the go at the moment for our construction clients.
There is power in sending a direct message to people you know – we all do it! Taylor Alden, after helping make sure a database is as perfect as it can be, is proficient in targeting messages to these key people through e-marketing and newsletter programmes. Just another “new” string to the communications bow.
